I bought this book for my BSCI 106 class at the University of Maryland in College Park. Its the newest edition and is pretty much the same as the last edition. It's a good book but the information covered could probably be covered in half as many pages. I wouldn't recommend it for light reading and bedtime stories but it's a perfectly good textbook..

I was pleased to find out that the book we ordered for our daughter was
the correct one. This is the first time I ordered a textbook from Amazon.com and my concern was that the book would not be exactly like
the one that was available at her school's bookstore. The condition of
the book was excellent. I will definitely look for more textbooks next
semester.

book and cd were just as ordered. But for many Bio classes you will need (Basic Laboratory Calculations for Biotechnology, ISBN 013223810) for your labs . This book was about $44 new .Shipment was on time.
