Product Description Janeway's Immunobiology, Seventh Edition is an introductory text for use in immunology courses for undergraduates, graduate students and medical students. It guides the reader through the immune system in all its aspects - from the first engagement of innate immunity to the generation of the adaptive immune response and its clinical consequences. The Seventh Edition has been comprehensively updated throughout, and includes new information on topics such as NK cells, Toll-like receptors, AID, viral evasins, mucosal immunity, and celiac disease, to name a few. Each copy of the book includes a revised CD-ROM, Immunobiology Interactive, which contains animations and videos with voiceover narration, as well as the figures from the text for presentation purposes. Janeway's Immunobiology continues to set the standard for currency and authority with its clear writing style and organization, full-color art program, scientific accuracy and consistent viewpoint - that of the host's interaction with an environment containing many species of potentially harmful microorganisms.

Immunology 7th Ed. (Janeway's) is a GREAT IMMUNOLOGY TEXT!!! June 15, 2008 Stephen M. Sadder (Philadelphia PA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I highly recommend this text to any profession, undergrad, and/or grad interested in pursuing a career in immunology, microbiology, or molecular. It is very detailed and easy to read. Plus, if you buy new version, the CD is very useful to watch video clips of important, yet complex topics.
Immunobiology September 29, 2008 M. Broadwater (Baltimore, Md) This book is great! I am taking my first Immunology class and this Janeway book makes everything really easy to understand! I highly recommend buying it!
Good general immunology textbook September 30, 2008 christy (Fort Collins, Co) This is a really good, general immunology book. It is well written and the figures are very clear.
Yes November 18, 2008 R. Escobedo (Hamilton, ON) If your prof does not recommend this - ignore her and get this. The first chapter alone will get you through most college level immuno courses. The rest is at an almost-phd level but is still really well written and understandable, with the most important thing - accurate and memorable pictures.
