By using the Library of Math, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (the "Terms of Use").
Terms of Use (Commercial Use). The Library of Math's Services are made available for your personal, non-commercial use only. If you want to make commercial use of the Library of Math Services, you must enter into an agreement with the Library of Math to do so in advance. Please contact termsofuse@libraryofmath.com for more information.
Terms of Use (Personal Use). You may print or download one copy of each Library of Math web page for personal use only; but you are not allowed to print or download more than 100 Library of Math web pages in total. Each page that you print or download must display the Library of Math header and footer and should not be replaced or omitted.
Terms of Use (Disclaimer). We may modify or terminate our services from time to time, for any reason, and without notice, including the right to terminate with or without notice, without liability to you, any other user or any third party. We reserve the right to modify this "Terms of Use" from time to time without notice. The Library of Math disclaims any and all responsibility or liability for the accuracy, content, completeness, legality, reliability, or operability or availability of information or material displayed in the Library of Math Services results. The Library of Math Services, and all materials, information, products and services included in the Library of Math Services are provided "as is," with no warranties whatsoever. The Library of Math and its licensors expressly disclaim to the fullest extent permitted by law all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement of proprietary rights. The Library of Math and its licensors disclaim any warranties regarding the security, reliability, timeliness, and performance of the Library of Math Services. The Library of Math and its licensors disclaim any warranties for any information or advice obtained through the Library of Math Services. The Library of Math and its licensors disclaim any warranties for services or goods received through or advertised on the Library of Math Services or received through any links provided by the Library of Math services, as well as for any information or advice received through any links provided in the Library of Math Services. You understand and agree that you download or otherwise obtain material or data through the use of the Library of Math services at your own discretion and risk and that you will be solely responsible for any damages to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of such material or data. The Library of Math is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of Web sites to which it may link.
Terms of Use (Copyright). The Library of Math site, including but not limited to the text, graphics, layout, music, and software, and all materials associated with the Library of Math, are copyright © 2001-2007 by David A. Smith unless otherwise noted.
Terms of Use (Mathematical Content). In order to use the Library of Math the following matters must be understood. The Library of Math does not claim to be an authority figure in the world of mathematics. We are an educational web site and we aim to help math students and the general public with mathematics. You should not use the Library of Math as a mathematical authority but rather as a place to start when trying to understand any mathematics from high school through undergraduate level mathematics. The other matter you must understand is that the writers of the Library of Math share many opinions that are not necessarily shared with everyone in the field of mathematics.
Terms of Use (Printing). You may not print or download more than 100 Library of Math web pages over a time period of one year. You may not print or download and then sell any of the Library of Math web pages for any reason unless written permission is given to you by the Library of Math. You may not print or download and then copy any Library of Math web pages unless you are doing so for educational reasons only; otherwise each Library of Math web page must be printed or downloaded out directly from www.LibraryOfMath.com.
Terms of Use (Advertisements). You may not abuse the Google Adsense advertisements on the Library of Math by repeatedly clicking on the links. The Library of Math does not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as "click the ads," "support us," "visit these links," or other similar language. The Library of Math does not direct user attention to the ads via arrows or other graphical gimmicks. The Library of Math does not place misleading images alongside individual ads. The Library of Math does not promote sites displaying ads through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party web sites. The Library of Math does not compensate users for viewing ads or performing searches, or promise compensation to a third party for such behavior. The Library of Math does not place misleading labels above Google ad units - for instance, ads may be labeled "Sponsored Links" but not "Favorite Sites". We except all visitors to abide by these rules as well.
Terms of Use (Newsletter). The Library of Math's sign-up form for the Online Math Store’s Newsletter is displayed on the left on each Library of Math web page. You may not abuse this sign-up procedure by signing up with a fictional email address or repeatedly signing up with the same email address.
Terms of Use (References and Links). We encourage everyone to visit, learn, and reference the Library of Math's web pages. The correct method for referencing a Library of Math web page is listed at the bottom of each web page. If there is no reference information listed at the bottom of a particular web page, then there should not be a reference made to that web page. You are, however, free to link to any Library of Math web page that you want to. Help us spread the word.
